Alvanet started its business in response to the increasing demand
of children courseware (especially e-learning programs) in the
late 1990’s. Like most start-up SMI companies, Alvanet begin
its business with a low profile company. Alvanet is fortunate
to survive the economic downturn in the late 1990s.
Prior
setting up this company, our CEO was the consultant in content
development for children school content publisher and also a lecturer
for various colleges. He felt that there will be a paradigm shift
from traditional learning (uses of book) to digital (paperless)
e-learning children courseware education. Because of that, he
was inspired to set up e-learning company that focuses in producing
courseware for children education. He also felt the important
for younger generation to learn ICT while gaining knowledge. Indeed,
Alvanet aspirations are inline with Malaysia Government Vision
2020. In addition, digital divide between the rural population
and the urban population is huge especially for the developing
countries in South East Asia.
Since
then, Alvanet introduced lots of children educational software
and courseware program for Malaysia and other developing countries
in South East Asia. Having the children educational software and
VCD concept mode will enable Alvanet to deliver its e-learning
content with a cost effective way and continuous learning lesson
with better and many options.
Alvanet
received various recognitions from both local and foreign bodies
because of Alvanet efforts in promote children education via digital
and multimedia concepts. On the September 2006, Alvanet was awarded
MSC Status by Malaysian Government.
